His Excellency Fahad Saeed Al Raqbani was appointed as the fourth UAE Ambassador to Canada in 2018. Ambassador Al Raqbani brings a wealth of experience from serving at the highest levels within UAE’s investment and economic development sector. He has held leadership positions with Mubadala Investment Company, the sovereign wealth fund of Abu Dhabi, to the Abu Dhabi Council for Economic Development, where he spearheaded several economic diversification and sustainability initiatives. Since Ambassador Al Raqbani has been posted to Canada, the two countries have further developed their strong bilateral relationship – from Canada removing the visa requirement for all UAE nationals to travel to Canada, signing two MOUs on Space Cooperation, and expanding the bilateral air transport agreement to mention just a few advancements.
